This is a Garmin GPSmap 176c that was tested and updated to the latest s/w version.

This unit does get a GPS fix and can read chart cards.

We did find that this unit WILL NOT get the correct date.

There are water spots on the plastic lens that are easier to see once the unit is off. We decided not to buff the plastic lens because we wanted to keep the AR coating in tact.

We were able to power this unit via the 4-pin port and x4 AA batteries (not included). The battery compartment did have some battery acid left over, so we cleaned the compartment as best as we could. The unit still works on battery power.

PLEASE NOTE: DOES NOT COME WITH ANY CABLING OR OTHER ACCESSORIES!! BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED!!
