This is an aftermarket battery pack for the Raymarine SmartController built right here at Max Marine Electronics. There is not a generic replacement for this battery pack because the pack uses a temperature sensor inside the pack itself to monitor charge temps and adjust the charge profile so as not to overheat the battery pack when charging – this ensures that the pack lasts as long as possible. Our pack is the same size and a direct plug-and-play replacement for the original, but due to improvements in battery technology since the original battery pack was produced, we are able to provide a 2200mah battery pack instead of the original 1600, an improvement in the capacity of over 35%.

This does not include the SmartController itself, only the battery pack as shown in the photos.

We have noticed another seller “Battery Concepts” has been selling something similar recently. If you’re trying to decide between ours and theirs, remember, we’re a marine electronics business with over 20 employees who can help you. We have a real location (they operate out of a PO box at a pack-n-ship store called “Postal Annex”) and have a reputation in the industry. We don’t believe in copying others’ ideas, nor do we believe in copying their listings – Battery Concepts’ pack and listing bear many similarities to ours.

Note:  These batteries CANNOT be used with the S100 Autopilot remote Raymarine part number E15024.  The S100 uses simple AA batteries. The S100 is not a SmartController.
