This is a new old stock aluminum mount designed to mount a heading sensor or compass – this is the amount that was kitted with the KVH Gyrotrac system but it will work with a variety of compasses. Aluminum is the ideal material for this as it is non-magnetic and doesn’t affect the compass’s performance. Dimensions are shown with a caliper – please see photos. This is useful for mounting a compass to a wall when a wall mount is not designed into the compass.
